GMC CERTIFIED SERVICE
WINTER DRIVING — THINGS TO REMEMBER
MAINTENANCE

Whether winter in your area means rain, snow or a combination of the two, the season is likely to bring challenging driving conditions. To help ensure that your GMC is ready for different weather-related situations, start by making an appointment with your GMC dealership. The Certified Service experts can conduct a vehicle inspection that includes examining the brakes, battery, tires and other components.

The Certified Service experts can check for proper levels of oil, coolant, brake fluid and transmission fluid. Insufficient fluid levels could lead to damage and costly repairs. In addition, the experts can check the engine air filter as well as the cabin air filter (if equipped) and replace if needed.

This also is a good time to have a battery test performed to check the health of your battery and to visually inspect the cables and connections. At the same time, the experts can inspect your GMC’s tires for adequate tread and correct air-pressure levels. Wiper blades are an often-overlooked maintenance item. If they are worn or dirty, this can obscure your vision, especially in messy weather. Watch for worn rubber, streaking or a skipping of the blades across the windshield. Should any of these symptoms exist, have the blades replaced.

Remember, when it’s time for service or maintenance, nobody knows your GMC better than the Certified Service experts.
